SHARNA BURGESS INTRODUCED DWTS PARTNER TYLER CAMERON TO BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN’S GREAT HIP-HOP ALBUM

“Hopefully we can dance to that.”

David Silver may have a new fan.

Dancing With the Stars season 35 duo Sharna Burgess and Tyler Cameron have the same taste in music — which now might include Burgess’ partner, Brian Austin Green.

“She was telling me about Brian’s music,” Cameron tells Entertainment Weekly after the DWTS cast reveal on Wednesday. “We’re jamming.”

“He didn’t know,” Burgess notes, “Brian had a great album in the ‘90s that is having its own little resurgence. But yeah, he loves ‘90s hip hop and R&B, so that’s my vibe.”

When asked if they might dance to Green’s 1996 album One Stop Carnival in the ballroom, Burgess says, “Hopefully we can dance to that. I would love that.”

Either way, Green — who appeared as Burgess’ partner on season 30 of DWTS in 2021 after they had started dating — will be watching Burgess and Cameron, and recapping the season on his own show.

“Brian said to me, ‘Baby, I think I really want to do the reviews that you used to do,’” Burgess recalls. “And I was like, ‘Okay, tell me more. What does that mean?’ He really just wants to give love to everyone on the show. He loves all of these guys, and he just knows how much I love it. He’s created his own little show that he’s going to do, bring people in and just share love for the numbers. So definitely not a critique or anything negative, but just uplifting everyone.”

Burgess exited DWTS after her season with Green, going on to recap the series on social media. Season 35 marks her big return.

“It’s been everything to be back,” she tells EW. “It’s like I never left. It’s always home. It’s always a part of me, but I’ve missed it so much. I’m so grateful I get to be a part of it. This cast is incredible, and to have a partner like Tyler, it’s a dream. It’s even, for me, a pinch me moment that I get to do this again.”

Cameron agrees that Burgess is his ideal partner. “She is the dream of a partner. I want someone who’s hard, who’s going to whip me into shape, and she’s doing all that and more,” he says. “She’s crushing it.”

“That’s my style,” she adds. “I’m a drill sergeant, a football coach, that’s what my style always is. And he is an athlete that has that mentality, so it’s honestly a perfect match.”

The Bachelorette alum — Cameron finished as the runner-up on Hannah Brown’s season 15 in 2019 — played football in college and has since appeared in several reality shows, including Going Home with Tyler Cameron, his own home construction show.

More recently, Cameron made headlines for proposing to longtime girlfriend Tate Madden. He announced his engagement just weeks before his DWTS casting.

“It was a matter of when the ring was coming in,” he says of the timing. “We were trying to make it happen sooner, but things happen. And we finally had a break in our schedule and I was like, ‘Let’s go have a little getaway and make it somewhere close so it can always be somewhere special for us to go to.’ It worked out, and it was beautiful. It was incredible.”

Cameron and Burgess tell EW that they are both down for double dates with their fiancés, with the dancer confirming, “We’ve already talked about that.”

The cast of season 35 of DWTS also includes Jenna Dewan, Harry Shum Jr., Julia Stiles, Tatyana Ali, Giada De Laurentiis, Maura Higgins, Ciara Miller, Taylor Hanson, Sarah Jane Nader, Guillermo Rodriguez, Jackson Olson, Ezra Frech, Amber Glenn, Conner Leavitt, and Connor Wood.

The Dancing with the Stars two-night premiere airs Tuesday, Sept. 15, and Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and Disney+.
