KEVIN COSTNER'S 'HORIZON' IS BECOMING A BIG HIT AT HOME

DESPITE THE WESTERN drama Horizon: An American Saga- Chapter 1 originally not performing well at the box office, Kevin Costner’s passion project has had a turn around at home with a growing engagement, giving hope to his self-funded western epic series.

The original film premiered in theaters on June 28, and received mixed reviews. The three-hour film is the first installment of a series telling the story of the great migration west. Horizon features a star studded cast that includes Costner himself, along with Sam Worthington, Sienna Miller, Luke Wilson, and more.

After the film’s lack of success at the box office, Warner Bros. announced that the second film (which has already been shot) would not be released on its previously established August 16th date, instead implementing a plan to allow the first film to have the opportunity to be watched by more audiences at home.

The decision has now proven successful, as it has hit #1 on the video on-demand rental charts. Perhaps fans are enjoying the long running time from the comfort of their home more?

How to Watch Horizon: An American Saga- Chapter 1

The drama is still available to see in some select theaters, but is now also available to rent or buy on most platforms like on cable, Apple TV and Amazon Prime. When the film will be available on Max—as it's a WBD release—is still to be determined.
