Crews started to work Thursday on the set up of the Sea Hear Now music, art and surfing festival, which takes place Saturday, Sept. 14 and Sunday, Sept. 15 on the North Beach and Bradley Park in Asbury Park. The city has announced beach, boardwalk and street closings related to the fest.
Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band play the fest on Sept. 15.
Thirty-five thousand people are expected to attend the sold out Sea Hear Now, which will have four more speaker towers on the beach next weekend as compared to last year, and two in-audience video screens, too.
Beginning 6 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6 through 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20 there will be no parking permitted in the Fisherman’s Parking Lot, located at 1800 Ocean Avenue. All vehicles must be removed from the lot or they will be towed at owner’s expense.
