CODY RHODES RECEIVED A VERY COOL GIFT AT WWE’S SHOW IN TOKYO TODAY

WWE is making a quick tour of Japan this weekend, which gives us a pre-taped SmackDown and a chance to see some great cosplay from Japanese fans...

... and from the roster itself (in this case, one Jade Cargill brought back from an AEW Rampage look)...

But it also gave Cody Rhodes another great gift from his family’s past.

After finishing his story at WrestleMania 40, Triple H, Nick Khan, and Bruce Prichard gave the new WWE champion the Rolex watch his father once pawned to pay for Cody’s acting training. In Tokyo’s Ryogoku Kokugikan today (July 26), Rhodes was presented with an unmistakably Dusty outfit — one the American Dream wore for one of his many matches with the legendary Antonio Inoki in Japan during the late 1970s and early 1980s.

WWE released a video Cody donning the hat and robe, dancing like his old man, then bowing down to pay his respects to Sumo Hall.

Very cool.
