BLACK RABBIT: NEW NETFLIX SERIES JOINED BY STARS FROM THE MANDALORIAN AND MAD MAX: FURY ROAD

Netflix has a new series in development called Black Rabbit, and several new names have been revealed for its cast. The hourlong drama will be a limited series, though it doesn't yet have a premiere date.

Newcomers officially announced for the starring cast include Academy Award winner Troy Kotsur (CODA, Star Wars: The Mandalorian); Abbey Lee (Mad Max: Fury Road, Lovecraft Country); Odessa Young (The Giant, The Stand); and Robin de Jesus (Welcome to Chippendales, tick, tick... BOOM!). New actors announced for recurring roles include Amir Malaklou (The Old Man), Don Harvey (Better Call Saul), Forrest Weber (Law & Order), Francis Benhamou (Prayer for the French Republic), Gus Birney (Happiness for Beginners), John Ales (American Fiction), and Steve Witting (Killers of the Flower Moon).

There were also several cast members previously announced for Black Rabbit. Those include Jason Bateman (Ozark) as Vince Friedkin; Jude Law (Talented Mr. Ripley) as jake Friedken; Cleopatra Coleman (Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire) as interior designer Estelle; Amaka Okafor (The Responder) as ambitious New York Chef Roxie; Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù (Gangs of London) as prominent musician Wes; Dagmara Dominczyk (Succession), and Chris Boy (Bass Reeves).

The logline for the series reads, "When the owner of a New York City hotspot (Law) allows his turbulent brother (Bateman) back in his life, he opens the door to escalating dangers that threaten to bring down everything he's built."

The show is created by Zach Baylin and Kate Susman. Bateman is directing the first two episodes, and he's executive producing with Michael Costigan for Aggregate Films; Jude law and Ben Jackson for Riff Raff Entertainment; Baylin and Susman's Youngblood Pictures; and Andrew Hinderaker, Zac Frognowski, Justin Levy, David Bernon, and Erica Kay.

The Series Stems From the Netflix and Aggregate Partnership

“I am excited to continue our long relationship with Jason and watch him excel not only as a talented actor and filmmaker, but also as a producer," Netflix's Ted Sarandos said of the deal with Bateman's Aggregate to develop new content. "We are looking to Aggregate as a major supplier for us here at Netflix. Cindy, Scott and I look forward to merging our vision and goals for the future in film and TV alongside Aggregate’s. The combination of Jason and Michael brings an impressive history of industry experience and relationships here to their new home.”

Black Rabbit does not yet have a release date set at Netflix.
