About Trek Planet

We are not a tour agency. We are trekkers.

Trek Planet was born in a tea house at 4,130m in the Himalayas. Since 2012 we have grown from two friends with backpacks into a global community of mountain guides, porters, photographers and trail builders operating on trek-planet.com.

We believe trekking changes people. That's why we keep groups to max 10, pay porters 30% above standard, remove single-use plastic from all routes, and invest 5% of profit into trail restoration in Nepal, Peru and Georgia.

✓ IFMGA & Wilderness First Responder guides
✓ Real acclimatization, no rush summits
✓ All permits, lodges & meals included
✓ Satellite comms + oxygen on high routes

FAQ

Questions? Answered.

What fitness do I need?

For T2-T3 treks: you should comfortably hike 6-7 hours with 8kg pack. We send you an 8-week training plan with cardio, legs and hiking progression. For T4-T5 (Everest, Kilimanjaro) we add altitude pre-acclimatization protocol.

What is included in price?

All permits, licensed guides, porters, accommodation (hotels + lodges/tents), most meals on trail, transfers, medical kit, oxygen on high routes, satellite tracker. International flights and insurance are not included.

How do you handle altitude sickness?

Slow profiles, twice-daily oxygen saturation checks, extra acclimatization days, emergency oxygen and Gamow bag, helicopter evacuation protocol and direct link to hospitals in Kathmandu, Cusco and Moshi.

Can beginners join Everest Base Camp?

Yes, 60% of our EBC trekkers are first-timers in Himalayas. If you train 2-3 months and follow our plan, success rate is 98%. We never rush — safety first, summit second.

Do you do private / family treks?

Absolutely. Private departures any date for 2+ people, family-friendly routes with shorter days, and corporate expeditions. Contact us via form above.
